During the Vietnam war years the preferable chant or those opposing the war was, “Hey, Hey, Hey, LBJ! How many babies did you kill today?” Today’s slogan should be Elon, Elon, Elon. How many babies did you starve today. When “President” Musk shut down the US Agency for International Development he doomed tens of thousands of people in Sudan and other parts of Saharan Africa to die from starvation and disease. He has absolutely no authority for this illegal action, but the law is an alien concept to him and his merry bunch of miscreant “Whiz Kinders.” Somehow it is easy to pay no attention to something happening a world away, but his next target is Social Security and Medicare and that will hit close to home. Call, don’t write or e-mail, US Congressmen Tom Cotton and John Boozman and Rep Rick Crawford and tell Congress to get a spine and become the third coequal

[Editor’s Note: Not gonna lie … that chant doesn’t really roll off the tongue. How about, “Elon, Elon, Elon!Your boss is a felon?” Eh, I’ll workshop some better ideas and get back to you. But back to your message … without a doubt, with USAID being gutted, if not outright dismantled, by the Trump administration, there is no doubt that many people in other parts of the world will suffer and even die. The question then becomes, how beholden are we to prop up the less fortunate in places other than the U.S. when we clearly have our own people suffering. That’s for you as an individual to decide as you throw your support behind those who share your ideology. I’m personally more concerned about the slashing of domestic support programs and the state of the Department of Education, but yes, from a humanitarian point of view, whats happening with USAID funding is kind of horrifying] —–— I grew up in a strict Democrat household; my dad voted a straight Democrat ticket no matter who were the candidates. He was a “small business owner” for some 40 years and always felt the Dems represented him the best. My mother and I didn’t always agree with dad, but my mother and I were both registered Democrats. We are 18 years past my father’s passing, and today I am 100 percent sure my dad would vote for Trump! Today my dad and I would know President Trump is more on the side of the working class than President Joe Biden ever was. That statement is giving Biden the benefit of doubt; we still do not know who was “pulling the strings” for the past four years. The first two times I voted for Trump I was still registered as a Democrat, and the third and last time voting for Trump, I was happily registered as a (lifelongto- be) Republican. I am not a small business owner like my dad was; for the past 30 years I successfully worked in the corporate world as a sales manager for three different Fortune 500 companies. Reasons for voting for Trump – on the side of common sense, he will make the U.S. great again, and he will keep us safe! [Editor’s Note: Hey, I’m pulling for him. I don’t like very much of what I’ve seen so far, but we’ve got a couple of years to see how it goes. But you’re probably fooling yourself if you think any of the proverbial “rich men north of Richmond,” regardless of party, have any real vested interest in the working class outside of playing to their fears in search of votes]
