Arkansas State Police made a major drug bust last Wednesday evening after stopping a 2025 Audi SUV on Interstate 40 near the 273-mile marker in Crittenden County. The traffic stop, which took place around 5:30 p.m. eastbound near Lehi, quickly escalated when troopers searched the vehicle and discovered a sizable quantity of illegal narcotics.
Inside the SUV, officers found five one kilogram bundles of cociane, more than 10 pounds, carefully concealed within the vehicle. Each bundle bore the image of the popular children’s toy, Barbie, an unusual detail that has left many speculating about its significance.
The driverr, identified as 32-year-old Daniel Goldfinger of Salt Lake City, Utah, was taken into custody at the scene. He was transported to the Crittenden County Detention Center, where he was booked on felony charges of Trafficking a Controlled Substance.
During questioning, Goldfinger informed invevstigators that he was traveling from Dallas, Texas, to Columbus, Ohio. Authorities have not yet disclosed whether additional arrests or charges are expected in connection with the case, but the investigation remains ongoing. Goldfinger has already made bail.
Let’s go party: It is unclear what the significance is of the use of popular child’s toy in connection with the drug itself. Authorities suggest it may be a form of branding.
