Fire on the Highway

Interstate 40 eastbound in West Memphis was blocked Wednesday afternoon due to a tractor trailer fire, according to the Arkansas Department of Transportation. 'All lanes remain blocked at Mile Marker 274.2 (West Memphis) due to a tractor-trailer on fire,' iDriveArkansas, which has its information provided by ARDOT, posted to their X page Wednesday afternoon. Traffic returned to normal after clearing the scene that evening. No injuries were reported.
