In their final home game of 2024, the Lady Greyhounds took a break from Region 2 play to host Jackson State. The Lady Greyhounds would try to keep it close, but a big 2nd quarter from Jackson State made it really hard for a comeback.

It was a very short handed team for ASU Mid-South tonight as they only had 6 players dressed out to play. Although they only had 6 players, these young ladies came out giving everything they had. Jackson State would hold a slim 3 point lead after one, and a big reason for their early lead was turning ASU Mid-South over and converting those turnovers into points. The 2nd quarter was much like the 1st as Jackson State would elevate their defense more, this time adding the deep ball into play to really start to separate themselves from ASU Mid-South. Jackson State would lead 41-25 at the half.

The 2nd half started out and the Lady Greyhounds were keeping it close in the quarter. ASU Mid-South started giving Jackson State a little of their own medicine turning the Lady Green Jays over and turning those turnovers into points. The 4th quarter got underway, and the Lady Greyhounds showed their effort in trying to make a late comeback, but it was just too little too late as they would fall to Jackson State 75-57.

Tamyra Patterson led Jackson State with 18 points. Brooklynn Spates and Je’Leah Cole both finished with 10, while Marihya Hart finished with 9.

Lula-Jae Tranfaglia led ASU Mid-South with another double double for the freshman as she scored 13 points and grabbed a game high 10 rebounds. London Robinson led the Lady Greyhounds in scoring with 17 points and Zarriah Adams finished with 14.
