County continues to see high early voting turnout
General Election next Tuesday, polls open 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Voter turnout appears to be strong as the 2024 general election approaches, with nearly 22 percent of registered voters in Crittenden County casting their ballots in the _rst week of early voting. According to Jackson County Clerk Paula Brown, 6,201 people voted during the _rst week between Monday and Saturday, out of the county’s 28,310 registered voters.
Crittenden County has a population of 48,163 residents, according to the 2020 census, with approximately 58.7 percent of the population registered to vote. The early voting turnout is a promising sign, as election of_cials expect an increase in participation as the _nal days of voting near.
Early voting will conclude on Monday, Nov. 4, at 5 p.m., ahead of the general election. Polls will open for the _nal day of voting on Tuesday, Nov. 5, starting at 7:30 a.m. and going until 7:30 p.m.
