Buc-ee’s, the popular travel center chain, is set to expand its footprint in the region with the opening of a new 74,000-square-foot facility in West Memphis. This massive location will feature over 120 fueling stations and a wide array of amenities, catering to both local residents and the millions of travelers who pass through Arkansas each year. The project is currently pending approval of several city ordinances by the West Memphis City Council.

Crittenden County residents will soon see a familiar face closer to home as the city recently announced that a Buc-ee’s is officially coming to West Memphis.

over the development, highlighting its potential economic impact. “I’ve been waiting a long time to welcome Bucee’s to West Memphis,” Mc-Clendon said. “This is a huge win for our city and shows that we’re serious about creating new jobs and growing West Memphis. Buc-ee’s is more than just a travel center – it’s an experience.”
The new Buc-ee’s is expected to create around 225 jobs, providing a significant boost to the local economy. “We’re proud to see a major brand like Buc-ee’s invest in our future, bringing jobs, tourism, and new businesses to our city,” added McClendon.
Designed to accommodate heavy traffic and provide an efficient experience for travelers, the facility will sit on a 34-acre site with ample parking and shopping options. In addition to the fueling stations, the center will offer a variety of services, including dining, snacks, and souvenirs.
Jim Jackson, Tourism Director for the City of West Memphis, emphasized the positive impact the project could have on local tourism. “The addition of Buc-ee’s is going to be a game-changer for tourism in West Memphis,” Jackson noted. “Bucee’s will not only serve as a major stop for travelers but also draw new visitors to our area, showcasing everything West Memphis has to offer. We’re excited to see the impact Buc-ee’s will have on our local tourism and hospitality industry.”
Pending final approval from the city council, construction is expected to begin in the coming months, with an anticipated opening date to follow. The West Memphis Buc-ee’s is set to further enhance the city’s reputation as a growing hub for economic development.
