Marion has rushed for 1,646 yards so far in 2024, more than 235 yards per game and almost 6.5 yards per carry.

Surprise starter

Marion sophomore Jeremiah Dent found out early last week that he was going to start at receiver and all he did was catch four passes for 77 yards and a TD, while running four times for 21 yards and a score.

Passing fancy

Marion junior QB Zayden Walker has eclipsed 144 yards passing in each of his past three starts, beginning with his career-high 170 yards in his team’s comefrom- behind victory at El Dorado.

He built on that performance by completing nine of 13 passes for 154 yards and two TDs in Marion’s 48-6 rout of West Memphis, and he hit 11 of 17 passes for 144 yards and a score at Jonesboro.
