As a special lunchtime treat Thursday, Marion High School students enjoyed a whole hog roast, courtesy of Taher, the district’s food service provider.
Throughout the week, Coach Chris Paslay’s Food Safety Class helped prepare the meal, which included Boston butts, barbecue chicken, a variety of side dishes, and desserts. There was also elote, frijoles vaqueros, and Navajo pumpkin bread, all prepared by MHS students.
Special thanks go to Taher Regional Chef Chris Murray for joining the district for this special event.
