RAINING RED, WHITE AND BLUE
The Annual SSGT Taylor Hoover Memorial 5K took place this past Saturday, just a few days removed from the third anniversary of the death of Hoover and a total of 13 U.S. service members – 11 Marines, a Navy corpsman and an Army soldier – and at least 169 Afghan people who were killed in a bombing attack, which unfolded as American and allied forces were scrambling to evacuate people from Afghanistan. The 5K was held at the Marion Recreational Complex, honoring the life and legacy of Hoover and his brothers in arms. Story and photos on Page 2.
