Martha A. Poole Greene

Martha A. Poole Greene, 77, departed this life on Monday, May 6, 2019, at the Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. She was born Dec. 22, 1941, in Tyler, Missouri to Frank B. Shaw and Catherine A. Fitzmaurice Shaw. Martha attended the Cooter School System and graduated with the 1959 class. On June 6, 1959 she was united in marriage to William Lee Poole in Steele, Missouri. He preceded her in death on Dec. 29, 1972. On Feb. 22, 1974, in Memphis, Tennessee, she was united in marriage to Tom Greene.

Martha worked as a medical secretary for many years. She had many hobbies that included antiques, quilting, going to flea markets and the QVC network. She absolutely adored her dogs but the 1st love of her life was her family. She

daughter, Melissa Poole of Memphis; sister Betty Blurton of Memphis; brothers John Shaw of Memphis; Mike Shaw of Caruthersville, Missouri; Russell Shaw of Beckley, West Virginia; and many other relatives, including nieces and nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband.

Funeral services were held May 10, with Russell Shaw officiating. Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Pall bearers were Brandon Shaw, Paul Shaw, Benjamin Shaw, Blane Blurton, Steven Blurton, Gregory Blurton and Roger Shepherd.
