West Memphis Mayor Marco McClendon’s #winningstreak has hit another one out of the park, as McClendon announced this morning that he had entered negotiations to annex Greenland into the City of West Memphis.
“It’s a great day in West Memphis,” McClendons said in a press conference. “It’s not about Black or White or even Blue Devil Blue… It’s all about the Green, as in Greenland.”
Just as President Donald Trump sent Vice President J.D. Vance to the world’s largest island, McClendon swooped in and acquired the annexation. The move is expected to be a boon to city revenues as Greenland is turned into “New West Memphis” following the annexation.
The Prime Minister of Greenland Jens Frederik Neilsen said the move was an important one.
“We had to keep President Trump from seizing the island,” he said. “Mayor Mc-Clendon offered us free passes to the Southland buffet and coupons for Chick-fil-A.
We are also excited for the new Buc-ee’s coming to the city and hope it will be ready when we make our first visit.
Upon hearing that McClendon had pulled a fast one, Trump was quick to reveal his secret plans all along.
“This is exactly what we wanted, “said Trump. Everyone knows that Iceland is the better island. The Vikings switched the names on purpose. Nice try, Vikings!”
