Pilot invests in West Memphis community with donation
Travel centers get full remodel as part of plan to connect with residents

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (Jan. 24, 2025) – The Pilot and Flying J travel centers in West Memphis are ready to welcome travelers to experience their new curb-to-counter remodels, featuring fresh looks and enhanced amenities. The remodels are part of Pilot's $1+ billion nationwide store modernization initiative, New Horizons, and to celebrate, Pilot is donating $20,000 to the West Memphis School District.
“We are excited to welcome the community of West Memphis back to our travel centers to enjoy the new amenities and thoughtful upgrades,” said Shannon Stone, director of store modernization at Pilot. “Whether you need to fuel up, grab a bite to eat or get going with the best coffee on the interstate, we look forward to seeing you out here.”
The remodeled Pilot travel center is located at 1100 Martin Luther King Blvd., and the remodeled Flying J travel center is located at 3400 Service Loop Road. Key updates to both travel centersinclude:
• Revitalized store interior
• Updated restrooms and showers
• Upgraded beverage coolers
• New hot and cold deli area
• Three new self-checkouts for a more convenient shopping experience
• Updated public laundry facilities Commitment to Community

As part of the company’s ongoing commitment to uplift the communities it serves, Pilot is donating $20,000 to West Memphis School District to help fund its Student Engagement Program.
