West Memphis announces holiday trash pickup schedule

Residents reminded to pull back trash cans after pickup

The City of West Memphis has released its holiday sanitation schedule to help residents plan ahead for trash collection during Christmas and New Year’s. Adjustments to the regular pickup schedule will ensure the city remains clean and organized throughout the holiday season.

Christmas Week Schedule

■ Monday, December 23: Regular Monday route.

■ Tuesday, December 24 (Christmas Eve): No collection.

■ Wednesday, December 25 (Christmas Day): No collection.

■ Thursday, December 26: Tuesday and Wednesday routes will be collected.

■ Friday, December 27: Thursday and Friday routes will be collected.

New Year’s Week Schedule

■ Monday, December 30: Regular Monday route.

■ Tuesday, December 31 (New Year’s Eve): Tuesday and Wednesday routes will be collected.

■ Wednesday, January 1, 2025 (New Year’s Day): No collection.

■ Thursday, January 2: Regular routes resume.

Residents are reminded to place their trash carts out the evening before their adjusted collection day to ensure timely pickup and to pull the carts back by 6:00 a.m. the following day.
