All the Whos in Whoville – I mean all the folks in Marion who came out to the Moms of Marion’s annual Movie Night on the Square shared in a screening of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” last Thursday night on the portable big screen.
The crowd bundled up on the courthouse lawn to watch the holiday favorite. And it was a community event, with more than 500 boxes of popcorn donated by ther Boys and Girls Club of Crittenden County and more than 25 gallons of hot cocoa distributed courtesy of Curbside Coffee to complete the moviegoing experience. 300 bags of candy also added to the fun.
There’s even more holiday-themed fun on the horizon in Marion next week, when the annual Marion Christmas Parade returns on Thursday, Dec. 5, beginning at 6:30 p.m., at the Marion Shopping Center on Block Street. This year’s theme is “Christmas in Toyland,” Then, the 4th annual Mingle & Jingle Christmas vendors and food trucks, letters to Santa and pictures with Santa, the big Greenway tractor, a kiddie train, a snow machine and more.
The crowd gathered together on a cool fall evening for a movie on the Courthouse Square.
