Honest question: when did “women’s ….

Honest question: when did “women’s health rights” change to “it’s OK to murder a baby”? All who are ranting about women’s health right are speaking about having abortions. [Editor’s Note: OK, so obviously you have some strong opinions about this, so here are some things to consider… pro choice proponents are not “ranting” about other health issues because no one is trying to deny them other services. Like, there are some states where you can’t get an abortion but there are no states where you can’t get a mammogram or an appendectomy. So, yes, they are speci _cally speaking out about abortion. So, I can’t really get with the “your body, my choice” crowd because I do believe there are circumstances in which an abortion might be necessary or justi_able. But I did like a sign I saw ahead of the election that said, “Step 1 to Women’s Rights … Let Them Be Born.”] Crittenden Regional Hospital has been gone for ten years now, and for the past decade I’ve heard that the reason why they went out of business was because they stole money from the hospital… to the tune of $38 million. Is that what really happened? [Editor’s Note: Ah yes, good old “Critical Memorial”… has it really been 10 years? OK, so the whole hospital deal was a, instead of using the alliterative phrase I want to use, let’s go with poop parade. We’ll probably never know the whole story, but basically Crittenden Regional was operating at a de_cit for years and yes, there were a bunch of rumors about missing money, but it largely came down to mismanagement, overstaf_ng, overspending and that sort of thing. And in that environment it was highly likely that funds were being siphoned off by someone. Who was that someone? I’ve heard rumors but certainly not anything I can print here. I will say, someone who was on the hospital board and is a prominent person in the community told me personally that he saw what “they” were doing and resigned from the board about six months before the whole thing fell apart. Now, one place where someone de_nitely stole money was with the employee bene_ts. Apparently, for a couple of years the employee retirement deductions and health insurance were not being properly deposited and that money just disappeared and no one _gured that out until the hospital shut down. I haven’t speci_cally heard the $38 million _gure before but it was a big chunk of money. The hospital was about that much in debt when it declared bankruptcy so maybe that’s where that number came from? Anyway, I could go into the whole thing about the _re, the aborted reopening, the tax _asco and such but that’s basically the gist of it] Regarding the recent editorial on boxing. If you wanted to throw away $100 for a seat in ATT Stadium. You should go and watch the Cowboys! [Editor’s Note: Yeah, I’ve never understood the bene_t of going to watch something in the “nosebleed” section. Maybe a concert, just to share in the atmosphere and say “I was there” or whatever, but a sporting event? I mean, you end up having to watch the big screen instead of the actual game because otherwise you can’t even see what’s happening on the _eld/court. I’ve got a 75-inch TV right there in my living room and I can to to the bathroom when I want, get a snack out of the kitchen at my convenience, and I guarantee I’ve got a better view than the guy who paid $200 to sit in Section 550, Row ZZ surrounded by drunk idiots. Not to even mention the parking fees, the overpriced concessions, the gas and hotel expenses. Now, having said that, good seats to a game are worth it for the experience most of the time, but yeah, if I paid to see Tyson vs. Paul, I’d have had buyers remorse by the end of the third round]
