Marion man arrested after threatening animal control workers
Suspect fled after stand-off with authorities in June

A Marion man who evaded authorities for more than three months was _nally apprehended last week.
Nicholas Dunn, 42, was arrested Thursday, Sept. 26, on charges stemming from an incident back in June where he allegedly threatened several Marion Animal Control Workers and then ed, his whereabouts unknown for months.
The incident occurred on June 11, around 10:15 a.m. when Animal Control Of_cers were reportedly threatened by Dunn while investigating a potentially dangerous dog at his mother’s residence. Dunn, also known as “Nick”, reportedly became hostile towards the of_cers, leading to a call for police assistance.

Response teams, were called in to assist as Dunn refused to leave the residence. Negotiations took several hours before the decision was made to enter the house around 4 p.m. However, Dunn was not found inside, raising concerns about his whereabouts.
Inside the residence, detectives discovered an AK-style shotgun and two .22 caliber pistols, leading to the decision to obtain a warrant for Dunn’s arrest on the charge of _rst-degree felony terroristic threatening which he as been charged with as well as a Failure to Appear.
The Failure to Appear charge as since been dismissed. It is unclear if Dunn surrendered or police _nally located him. Dunn was released less than 24 hours after his arrest on a $50,000 appearance bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on the terroristic threatening charges on Tuesday, Nov. 19.
