UAEX Gardening School event coming to West Memphis
Local green thumbs invited to attend Master Gardener training

Do you have an affinity for growing things? Are you an advanced horticulturist or do you just like to “stick it in a pot” and see what happens?
Whatever your level of knowledgs and enthusiasm, theres an upcoming event that can plant fandom bloom.
There will be a Gardening School & Master Gardener Advanced Training session on Friday, Sept. 27 and Saturday, Sept. 28, right here in Crittenden County. Presented by the University of Arkansas Extension Office, the Gardening School & Master Gardener Advanced Training will take place at First United Methodist Church of West Memphis, located at 215 N. Missouri St.
The two-day seminar will offer a variety of tips and tricks for both yard and garden projects and maintenance. The cost to attend is $100 for the two-day course and will include an opportunity to earn credit toward becoming a Master Gardener or become a part of the National Gardeners Association. The event will include Environmental, Gardening, and Landscape Design Schools and provide continuing education to National Garden Club members and the public.
The Gardening School is a series of four Courses with 10 hours each of instruction over 2 days. Courses cover all aspects of growing, soil, propagation pruning, native plants for wildlife, plant diseases, and specialized gardens.
