Many landlords have been slow to rebuild rental properties due to the rising cost of materials. Others have had to raise rent to cover the expense, pricing renters out of their homes.

Business damaged by the tornado have opted to shutter permanently due to the onerous cost of repairs. While life will go on in Wynne, things are already a little different and every story of tragedy and triumph will be woven into the city’s history as we remember and reflect on the Tornado of 2023.
