The First Baptist Church of West Memphis is continuing to commemorate its 100 years of service in style, with a series of events planned throughout the year. The _rst in its lineup of celebrations kicked off this past Saturday at Worthington Park, where the church hosted a block party from 5pm to 7pm.

Approximately 80 attendees of all ages from the community gathered at the park to partake in the festivities, which included games, prizes, food, fellowship, and more.

In addition to the entertainment, the block party also had a greater purpose – to promote the church’s ongoing community outreach program. Throughout the afternoon, those who showed up were able to learn more about the various services and programs that First Baptist Church offers, from childcare and youth groups to food drives and counseling services.

As the sun set on Worthington Park, the attendees left with smiles on their faces and a sense of camaraderie in their hearts. The First Baptist Church of West Memphis’s centennial celebrations are just getting started, with more events and activities planned in the coming months. Stay tuned for more updates on how the church will continue to serve and celebrate its community for the next 100 years.
