Officer of the Month

West Memphis Police Officer Michael Clayborn received officer of the month honors from Mayor Marco McClendon and Chief Eddie West (right). Clayborn jumped in to a swelling ditch on April 13 to rescue a woman from a car being swamped by rising water. On the same evening he waded through flash flood water to a house where and unresponsive 11-year-old had been reported and carried the child to an ambulance crews where the boy received needed medical attention.
