Mitchell Burch, 81, of Harrisburg, was born February 8, 1935, the son of the late Joel Felix and Lillie Kimble Burch and entered into eternal rest Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at his residence. Mr. Burch was well known in the area as an auto body restorer and loved farming in his younger years.

Mitchell was a family man and was loved by his family very much. He had his membership as a Christian in the Horseshoe Bend Assembly of God. He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Martha, of the family home; one son, Ronnie Burch (L.D.) of Marion; one daughter, Sonia Stayton of Harrisburg.

Mitchell is also survived by five wonderful grandchildren whom he loved dearly Mike Stayton (Holly), Josh Stayton (Stella Walker), Ashley Hensley (Coby), Mitch Burch (Bekah), and McKayla Burch. Also surviving are two great grandchildren, Barley Stayton and Kenzlee Burch. Mr.

Burch leaves behind six siblings; Francis, Barbara, Brenda, Eugene, Nolan, and Johnny. He is preceded in death by his parents and four siblings; Olan, James, Sammy, and Bobby. The family will receive their friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday July 28, at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home of West Memphis with Funeral Services being held Friday July 29, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will follow in Crittenden Memorial Park.

Gerald L. Holt

Gerald L. Holt, 93, of West Memphis passed away Monday, July 25, 2016.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Holt; his parents, M.L. and Amy Holt; his son, Harold Holt; two brothers; and four sisters.

He is survived by his daughter, Diane Holt of Crawfordsville; his grandkitty, “Mr. Kitty”; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Holt was a member of Earle 1st Assembly of God.

He also attended West Memphis Church of God and West Memphis 1st Assembly of God. He served as Deacon, Song Director, and the Sunday School Superintendent.

When dad and mom moved to Crawfordsville in 1954, he started working at People’s Gin at night and for Lion Oil Company in the daytime.

Before moving to Crawfordsville, they worked in the fields for several years.

Dad started working for Texaco Petroleum products in 1957 till 1987. Then he worked for E. Ritter Oil Company for 6 years. In the fall he worked for O’Neal and Son hauling rice, beans, and wheat to the mill. After mom died in 1996 he started working for Big Star from 1997 until 2004. After recovering from an illness in 2006, he started working at Marion Market Place from 2006 until 2011. He worked until he was 88 years old.

Dad’s life was working, eating at Cracker Barrel, going to church, and telling jokes and funny stories. He never met a stranger.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the American Diabetes Association.

Visitation will be on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the West Memphis First Assembly Church.

Services will follow at 12 p.m. with interment afterwards at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, AR.

Jerry Johnson

Jerry Johnson, 57, of West Memphis, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016, at his residence. Visitation is scheduled for Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home. Services Saturday, 11 a.m. at 15th Street COGIC with burial in Paradise Garden Cemetery.

He leaves five sisters, Maggie Jordan, Joyce N.

Davis and Marilyn Harris all of West Memphis, Dorothy Jackson of Petersburg, Virginia and Rebecca Parker of Detroit, Michigan; and two brothers, Ralph Johnson of Memphis, Tennessee and Charles Johnson of Detroit, Michigan.

Emma Louis Brown Person

Emma Louis Brown Person, 77 of 2517 E. Jackson, West Memphis, passed away Friday, July 22, 2016, at her home. She was a homemaker.

Visitation is scheduled for Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m.

at Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home with services following at 11 a.m. also at Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home and burial in Paradise Garden Cemetery.

She leaves a daughter, Gwendolyn Peters; a brother, Walter Brown Jr.; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Jimmy Ruffin

Jimmy Ruffin of West Memphis passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016, at Methodist University Hospital. Services Saturday, 1 p.m. at Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home with burial in Marion Memorial Cemetery.

He leaves his wife, Katherine Ruffin of West Memphis; two daughters, Cynthia Childress of Jacksonville, Florida and Sandy Moody of Olive Branch, Mississippi; five sons, Levelle Ruffin of Marion, Marvin Ruffin and Tyrone Ruffin both of West Memphis, Franky Ruffin of Champaign, Illinois, and Keith Ruffin of Olive Branch, Mississippi; a host of grandchildren and a host of greatgrandchildren.

Eugene Stephens

Eugene Stephens, 63, of West Memphis, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016, at his residence. Visitation is scheduled for Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home with burial in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery in Earle.

He leaves his wife Barbara Stephens of West Memphis; six daughters, Catina Dorsey of Russellville, Michelle Croft of Pontiac, Michigan, Latrice Cox of Memphis, Semeko Johnson of West Memphis and Tanicia Chase and Makesha Hill both of Earle; two sons, Quincy Hoard of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Anthony Alston of Russellville; three sisters; five brothers; 25 grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren; and five greatgreat- grandchildren.
