Wanted West Memphis man in custody

Walton arrested in Mississippi

ralphhardin@gmail.com After a month on the run, a West Memphis man wanted on indecency charges is in custody.

John Walton, 37, of West Memphis, was sought by police on four counts of felony Sexual Indecency with a Child before his arrest on July 20. “The Department is confirming that John Walton has been arrested in Mississippi,” read a post on the West Memphis Police Department’s Facebook page.

“Thanks for everyone's support and patience.”

Walton is currently being held at the Crittenden County Detention Center on the indecency charges as well as a bond surrender following his attempted flight from justice.
