Missing West Memphis man found dead
Body of Jackson, 80, located near vehicle
ralphhardin@gmail.com The search for an elderly West Memphis man who went missing earlier this month ended Friday, when he was found dead.
The body of Lee Henry Jackson, 80, was found near his car, according to reports from the West Memphis Police Department.
The car and Jackson’s body were located near the Town of Jeanette, just off Interstate 40 near the Hughes exit.
A county-wide volunteer and police search had been underway since June 8, when Jackson’s disappearance was reported to police. The search included the issuing of a “Silver Alert.” Jackson reportedly had a number of health problems including dementia.
No foul play is suspected at this time.
