Guy nabs pair of titles

Marion has run of strong performances in track

Sports Editor Marion completed its track season with a number of impressive individual performances.

Demorrious Guy took down state titles in the 100- and 200-meter dash.

Guy was also part of the 4X100-meter relay team that finished second in the state. Guy was joined by K.B. Williams, Tom Young and Darrius Lathon on that squad.

Marion senior Elijah Hobbs finished second in the state in the high jump, while Collin Chambers took third in the long jump.

Ebony Day was third in the state in the shot put competition and Josh Boykins took down fifth in the 400-meter dash.

Lathon finished seventh in the 100-meter dash to cap Marion’s list of track performances.
