Main Street West Memphis hosts crawfish festival this Saturday
ralphhardin@gmail.com If you couldn’t make it last weekend to the Gumbo Fest, or you just can’t get enough of that Cajun flavor, you’re in luck!
Main Street West Memphis, the business district dedicated to revitalizing the east end of Broadway as a commercial center, will be hosting “Mudbugs on Broadway,” a crawfish festival “gare-on-teed” to give attendees a chance to suck some heads and get their fill of crawdads.
“Come eat great crawfish and listen to live music,” beckons Main Street West Memphis Executive Director Deborah Abernathy.
“Only $5 at the gate!”
Crawfish platters will be available for $20 in advance, and $25 at the gate (admission is included in the price). The festival will also feature food trucks with a variety of items for sale (including those who don’t have the fever for the crawfish flavor), as well as beverage carts.
It all takes place at 231 E. Broadway, in the old flea market parking lot under the old water tower, beginning
at noon and running until 6 p.m.
Tickets are available at the Main Street West Memphis offices, or by calling (870) 735-8814, or at the West Memphis Chamber of Commerce, or by calling (870) 735-1134.
