WMCS blanks Delta Academy
Sports Editor West Memphis Christian seems to be playing its best ball these past few weeks.
And just in the nick of time, too.
The Black Knights blanked Delta Academy 12-0 last Thursday afternoon to improve to 7-6 overall and 2-1 in the district.
Starting pitcher Cole Wann picked up the win for West Memphis Christian, who hits the halfway point of its district schedule with a very good chance to win a regularseason district title.
Manning Shidler was 3-3 for West Memphis Christian, while Charlie Farr went 2-2 and Evin Cooper checked in with a 1-1 day. Hunter Weathers was 2-3 and Matthew Baker was 1-2.
West Memphis Christian will continue district play on Tuesday when they host Lee Academy at 4 p.m.
before returning that trip on Thursday.
