Blue Devils to play Forrest City on Friday

WM School District The West Memphis baseball Blue Devils dropped a doubleheader Tuesday at Searcy.

The Lions swept the Blue Devils, winning 12-0 and 10-0.

In the nightcap, West Memphis sophomore Conner Allen took the loss on the mound, going six innings and striking out 3.

The Blue Devils (4-12) were stopped with only three hits.

In the opener, Searcy ran out to an 8-0 lead after two innings off starting and losing hurler Nick Allsbrook, who pitched 3.1 innings and struck out two. West Memphis returns to the diamond on Friday with a non-conference game at Forrest City.
