The Canal Gardens Property Owners Association held their annual meeting in January. Officers remain the same. President – Jennifer Burch, Vice-President – Tom Cumbia and Secretary/Treasurer – Holly Bacon. The annual cleanup for the Association will be April 27th, no rain date since the dumpster will be placed for 4 days. Location of dumpster will be posted on CGPOA Facebook page.

4th of July

If you would like to submit a drawing for this year’s 4th of July T-shirts. Please place submissions to Horseshoelakeyachtclub@gmail.com. Deadline for submission is Feb. 16.

Congratulations to Tony and Stephanie Shelby of Horseshoe Lake on the birth of their granddaughter.

Lyra Evangeline Shelby was born on Jan. 31, at 3:45 p.m., weighing 7 pounds, 5 ounces and 19 inches long. The proud parents are A.J. & Kelsey Claire-Lynn Shelby. Also, ready to spoil Lyra is Aunt Sydney Shelby.

Bunco

Year-Round Bunco for February was held at Donna Culver’s home.

This month’s hostess was Pat Walters. She served Tuna, Spam salad and homemade Pimento Cheese sandwiches with pickles, olives, cheese dip, salsa, chips, Chocolate Cake, Strawberry Cheesecake and Walnut Brownies. The big winner for the night was Jayla White, she won High Score, Most Big Buncos and had travelers. Donna Culver had low score for the evening. The ladies will miss three members who got out, but have new members coming in.
