“Utility work ahead” — West Memphis Utilities crews reset lines and poles Wednesday ahead of the next Southland Drive construction phase near the curve on the 7th Street extension. Eight utility trucks and a small dozer were put to work at the west end of thenewtwolanestreet to connect 7th Street to Ingram Blvd. Southland Drive already runs from there to MLK Dr. in the truck stop area, and the new phase will complete the northern extension in October.
