Little sympathy for ‘poor’ Huckabee
About the only thing we can say about the news that former Gov. Mike Huckabee and two-time loser to become GOP president is now out begging for donations to pay off a $90,000 campaign debt is simply, GOOD LUCK!
Yes, that’s right, now seems the “Huckster” ran out of money while he was in Iowa just hoping a miracle would happen but it didn’t. With his chances for success dwindling and his fundraising failing, we now find out that he spent more money trying to hang in their. It looks to us that his ego was bigger than his wallet and with a dismal ninth place finish in Iowa he left owing about $90,000 that we learned he can’t pay.
So now he’s going around panhandling his former supporters hoping they will feel sorry for home and drop a few bucks in the collection pot in order to make good on his debts.
It might be suggest that Mr. Huckabee go crawling back to Fox News and beg CEO and founder Roger Alles and Rupert Murdock for his old and boring job back.
And, if that fails, maybe Mr. Huckabee can sell his fancy home on the shores off Gulf Breeze, Florida, near Pensacola, and pay off his debt. Oh, but that might mean he will have to move back to Arkansas, and, by no means, does he want to come back here.
The sales pitch to getting the sympathy of his once loyal followers is his fundraising pitch titled, “Help Me honor Their Sacrifice.”
He put out that some of his staff went without pay in the final two months to keep him in the contest and says in order to honor their sacrifice would be by making them whole again.
Interesting enough is that the message doesn’t indicate how many staff members are affected or how much they are expecting in financial compensation.
Now, here’s the issue with this in that Huckabee has admitted to his staff he was going broke and there was no money to pay their salaries. And, he said, some of his staff members agreed to take pay cuts. Others, he said, gave up their salaries altogether. So then, and with that said, where is this political propaganda coming from that there is a need “to honor their sacrifices”? And, furthermore these people know they weren’t going to get paid and we’re sure they were told they weren’t being forced to offer their services for free.
In fact, one of his staff members by the name of Alice Stewart, quit in December and, in January, went to work for Ted Cruz.
Overall, Huckabee blew $4.1 million on this second failed attempt and now, when all said and done, he’s still out there begging for more to pay for his ego trip.
We pointed out from the very get go that Huckabee didn’t have a chance at winning the GOP presidential nomination and that he was better off basking in the sun on Pensacola beach reminiscing about the “good ole’ days” and strumming his guitar.
BIBLE VERSE
Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us. If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
John 4:15-21
