• Restoration Life Church Annual Community Egg Hunt – Saturday, March 31 beginning at 9 a.m. Over 20,000 eggs. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and egg hunt starts at 10:30 a.m. Free hot dogs, Inflatables, prizes, train rides, face painting and more at 166 Pine Street in Marion.

• Child Abuse Prevention Month – The Children’s Advocacy Center of Eastern Arkansas is marking Child Abuse Prevention Month with several events and free trainings. Flag raising and pinwheel planting at WM Police Department Monday, April 2 at 10 a.m.; Darkness 2 Light training at Mid-South Health Systems Tuesday, April 9 from 1 to 3:30 p.m.; Parent night for Maddux and Weaver Elementary Schools at Weaver, Tuesday, April 10 at 6 p.m. please RSVP.; Prevention Rally, State Capital in Little Rock Wednesday, April 11 at 10 a.m.; and Chamber of Commerce Business after hours at Mid-South Health Systems Thursday, April 19 from 5 to 7 p.m.

• Community Meetings – The West Memphis Police Department is pleased to announce another round of community meetings in our city. Tuesday, April 3 at Weaver School, April 10 at the Boys & Girls Club and April 17 at River Church.

Meetings held at 6:30 p.m. “To keep our community informed about things going on in the city and in the Police Department.”

• Lunch with the Arts – The Art of Karen “Bottle” Capps, Wednesday, April 4 from 12 to 1 p.m. at Glenn P. Schoettle Arts Education Center, 301 S. Rhodes, West Memphis.

Bring your lunch and visit with the artist as she talks about her work and technique. Opening Reception Friday, April 6 from 5:30 until 7 p.m. at the Donald W. Reynolds Center, Arkansas State University Mid-South, 2000 W. Broadway, West Memphis, with support from the Rockie Smith Endowment for the Arts at ASU Mid-South.

• 2nd Annual Marion Countryside Ride – Saturday, April 7 beginning at the Courthouse Square at 8:30 a.m. Registration desk open at 7:30 a.m. Fun family bike ride to benefit the Marion Chamber of Commerce. Choose from 4 mile, 14 mile or 48 mile ride. $40 for adults, $20 for kids, registration includes T-shirt, swag bag and catered lunch. • West Memphis Metropolitan Planning Organization – Is soliciting public comments concerning the upcoming FY 2019 Unified Planning Work Program. This initial period will end on April 1, 2018. • Let’s Clean Up Earle Day – Sponsored by the Mid-South Camaro Club Saturday, April 28 at 8 a.m. and ending at 11 a.m. with a family picnic at the square (Commerce and 2nd Street). • Crittenden County Veterans Memorial Program

– ' A Tribute to Our Fallen Hero's' Thursday May 24th, 6 p.m. Eugene Wood Civic Center, 212 Polk. The public is invited to join us in this commemorative program. Families of fallen veterans are encouraged to fill out the memorial form to add the names to the reading in the program. Forms may be picked up at the VFW, American Legion or the 40 & 8. Forms must turned in by May 10th.

• DeltaARTS Crittenden Youth Theatre – TWAIN’S TALES. There will be a special performance on Memorial day weekend for the Memphis Childrens’ Theatre Festival at Rhodes College in Memphis and on June 12 for ‘TWIST AND TWAIN, DeltaARTS’ Gifted and Talented summer camp. • Bible Study Fellowship – In-depth, inter-denominational Bible study with the study of Paul’s letter to the Romans. • After School Meals Program – Wonder City, 412 S. 25th Street is providing a free at-risk after school program from 2:30 until 6 p.m. As an enhancement to our afterschool program, we will also participate in the CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program), which provides snacks and meals to all children ages 5-18, regardless of race, sex, or disability. • Purchase Birth & Death Certificates – At Crittenden County Health Unit, Vital Records Department, 901 N. 7th St., West Memphis during office hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Birth Certificate $12 ($10 for each additional copy) and Death Certificates $10 ($8 for each additional copy). • Total Deliverance Food Program – Supper served Monday-Friday after school at 3:15/snacks 4:15-5 p.m. Saturdays and days of no school from 12 noon-1:15 p.m. at 400 Commerce St., Earle. New Bethel MB Church, 11 Swindle Rd., Earle Supper will be served every Wednesday from 7 p.m./snack at 7:45-8:15 p.m. Lion of the Tribe of Judah, 105 Sneed St., Marked Tree Supper will be served from 7:45 p.m./snack at 8:30-9:30 p.m. Every Sunday from 12 p.m./ snack 1:15 p.m.

• Families in Transition – provides support groups for victims of domestic violence as well as teen dating violence. We also provide 'Safe Dates' Adolescent Dating Abuse Prevention Curriculum to schools, youth groups and any organization focusing on youth ages 12 and up.
