NJHS Helping the Pups
Recently, 30 of Marion Junior High School’s National Honor Society members spent their Saturday morning volunteering at the Marion Animal Shelter. Members cleaned out kennels, hauled away trash and assisted with other projects. Members also spent time with the adoptables pups- socializing with and bathing them as well. According to NJHS sponsor Amy Shumate, the event is an annual day for the membership to not to only to support the shelter's work, but to increase awareness of it through our youth. The NJHS chapter at MJHS has 48 members and is sponsored by Shumate and Jenny West.
