The Arkansas State Mid-South Lady Greyhounds travel to Saint Louis tomorrow to battle St.

Louis Community College. The Lady Greyhounds (65 overall) currently ride a two-game losing streak and look to turn things around against a familiar opponent in St. Louis Community College.

The ladies from ASU Mid-South defeated St.

Louis less than a month ago on November 19th. In that game, Sable Greer and Rachel Gramling combined for 53 points to boost the Lady Greyhounds to a 93-73 victory. That win represented ASU Mid-South’s ladies third win in a row during the month of November in which the team went 5-2.

The month of December has been far less kind to the Lady Greyhounds. The women have gone 1-3 this month. After scoring 88.4 points per game in the first month of the season, the Lady Greyhounds have only mustered 68 points per game in three losses this month. The ladies lone win in December came in the form of a 113-35 victory against Rhema.

While the Lady Greyhounds will have confidence on their side after defeating St. Louis Community College already once this season, being on the road may cause the women trouble.

In six matchups, this year away from “The Dog House” in West Memphis, the Lady Greyhounds are only 2-4.

A victory over St. Louis Community College could bring momentum going into January for the ladies from ASU Mid-South.

Momentum and confidence would serve as a key factor for the women next month as the team plays nine games. In those nine games the Lady Greyhounds face three teams which have already beaten the women a combined five times.

Tip-off of the Lady Greyhounds contest against St. Louis Community College is at 5:30 p.m. The ASU Mid-South women defend their own hardwood in “The Dog House” next on January 5th, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. against Southwest Tennessee Community College.
