Who chose the political cartoon from New York? What makes it relevant to the readers in our community? The art work was outstanding. [ Editor’s Note: We get our cartoons from a news service that we subscribe to. I suppose with it being Christmas- themed there was some national relevance to it? On a related note, readers may have noticed a change on our entertainment page. The service that was providing our TV listings is no longer providing them, so we have changed to a different provider. So, for those who depend on the Times TV Guide for their programming options, let us know how this one rates compared to our previous one]
*** My kids wrote their letters to Santa this year and we went to the special Santa mailbox inside the post office. Well a few days later they both got a letter back from Santa. This really made my kids feel special and has seemed to make them act a little bit nicer to each other. So thank you so much to the West Memphis post office for making my kids Christmas a bit more magical! [ Editor’s Note: I think the real credit goes to Santa Claus himself. I don’t know how he finds the time to answer all those letters and still make his list and check it twice! But if it’s making your kids act better toward each other, here’s an idea: Have them make monthly reports to Old Saint Nick throughout the year just to check in and see how they’re doing!]
*** Whatever happened with the couple who left the baby in the Krystals parking lot? [ Editor’s Note: You know, I bet the Krystal people are loving all of this publicity. But that story, though, made a lot of people mad. The pair are both out on bond and have been arraigned. That’s as far as it has gotten from what I can gather. The baby was placed with a grandmother ( hers, I believe). Another odd twist is that they may or may not be married. Her last name changed sometime between her arrest and her first court appearance, so who knows?]
