The Red Wolves will appear in their schoolrecord sixth consecutive bowl-game against American Athletic Conference member UCF on December 17th in Orlando, Florida at 4:30 p.m.
The Red Wolves finished the season with a 7-5 overall record and a 7-1 mark in Sun Belt play. Their opponents, the UCF Knights, hold a 6-6 record going 4-4 in the AAC.
The Red Wolves and the Knights meet for just the second time in school history. The first matchup came in 1991 in a game which UCF claimed a 3120 road victory. Longtime Red Wolves fans will seek long awaited revenge this year in Orlando.
A-State rebounded from a 0-4 start to the season to win seven of its last eight games, securing the teams sixth consecutive winning season for the first time since 1912-1917.
Arkansas State, the only FBS program in the nation to win five conference championships over the last six season, most recently played in the 2015 New Orleans Bowl. The Red Wolves are also wellknown for playing in the GoDaddy Bowl, now known as the Dollar General Bowl, for four consecutive seasons prior to its game in New Orleans.
This December’s bowl game will mark the first time the Red Wolves have played an AAC opponent since facing Memphis in 2013.
The Cure Bowl will be televised on the CBS Sports Network.
However, Arkansas State fans who wish to attend the game in person are encouraged to purchase tickets through the A-State Ticket Office in order to directly support the Red Wolves’ bowl trip and ensure they receive priority seating within the designated Arkansas State area.
Sideline tickets and endzone tickets are available for $53 and $28, respectively.
Fans can also purchase tickets by visiting the AState Ticket Office in person at the lower-red entrance to the Convocation Center or by calling 870-972-2781.
