The Canasta Club met at the home of Mary Jane Edwards in Earle Oct. 11.
Lou Burns of Marked Tree won high score, Terre Rodgers of Earle won second, Brenda Shempert of Wynne won low and Judy Sharp of Marked Tree won bingo.
Others present were Kim Fraley of Crawfordsville, Debbie Franks of Tyronza and Kaye Lehman of Marion.
*** Doris Gately was in Warwick, Rhode Island recently where she attended the Rhode Island Grand chapter of the Eastern Star Convention.
She traveled with Jo Lee Bearden of West Memphis, Leigh Ripka of Conway and Kathy Mitchell of Fayetteville. There were 154 present from all over the United States.
They spent one night in Hershey, Pennsylvania where they toured a castle in Norwalk, Connecticut.
They were guests at Crown Plaza Inn Hotel in Warwick. *** Mary Jane Edwards, Terre Rodgers and Linda Jo Branch spent several days in Bella Vista with Cindy Dickey and enjoyed visiting the Arts and Crafts shows in the area.
*** Debbie and Galen Maxwell were at Cedar Ridge Venue in Paragould Oct. 15 where they attended the marriage ceremony and reception held for their daughter, Mandy and Ben Mooneyhan.
Others present from Earle were Doll Maxwell, Samantha and Hunter Wood.
*** Sinthey Breyel of Lewisville, Texas and Eric Elms of Memphis were weekend visitors in the home of Sue Ann Elms. Eric returned home Oct. 9 after attending a conference in Seattle, Washington and driving to Vancouver, Canada for two days of sight seeing.
*** Rev. Rex Dickey of Bella Vista was a recent visitor in the home of Mary Jane and J. D. Edwards. *** Jimmie Barham attended the University of Arkansas – University of Mississippi football game in Fayetteville last Saturday and visited with Jimmie and David Beauchamp. *** Doris Gately shared birthday honors with Trent Gately of Marion at a cookout held at the home of Janet and Wayne Gately in Marion. Trey Gately of Marion was also present.
Cake and ice cream was served for dessert.
*** Scottie and Dr. Jason Bonadio of Greenwich, Connecticut are the parents of a son born Sept. 20.
He has been named Andrew Phillip.
His older brother is Nicholas, age five, and sister Juliet is four years old.
Grandparents are Jane Watson of Arkadelphia and Susan and George Watson of Earle.
