WM School District The West Memphis boys golf team is in ninth place out of 14 teams after the first round of the Class 6A state tournament in Mountain Home.

The Blue Devils had a team score of 359 heading into today's final round.

Senior Tyler Jones led the West Memphis charge with an 80 while fellow senior Parker Jennings shot 89.

Other Blue Devil scores included senior Hayden Spears with a 94 while sophomore Carlson Bennage shot 96 and junior Kaiden Holt fired a 97.

Jonesboro is the firstround leader in the clubhouse with a 300 while Greenwood had a 315. In third place is Benton at 331 while in fourth place is Siloam Springs at 334, Searcy is fifth at 347, Russellville is sixth at 349 and Marion is seventh at 350 and Texarkana is eighth at 357.

Coming in behind West Memphis are Lake Hamilton, Sheridan, Jacksonville , El Dorado and host Mountain Home.

Jones and Jennings qualified for today's final round.
