Tryouts for the Marion softball team will be held on August 6 and August 13 for athletes that are entering the 9th through 12th grades. Prospective players only need to make one of the tryout dates. You should bring a glove, a bat and wear softball gear. For any other information, contact head coach Sean Gray at sgray@msd3.org.

• WMCS opens new stadium August 19 — The West Memphis Christian Black Knights will play the first game at their new on-campus stadium on Friday, August 19 when they host North Delta. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.

• Double Devil Feast —

The West Memphis Athletic Booster Club will host its 28th annual Double Devil Feast, sponsored by Southland Park Gaming & Racing, on Friday, September 2, 2016 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the West Memphis High School Cafeteria. The dinner consists of an 8oz ribeye, baked potato, slaw, roll, and drink. Eat in or carry out.
