Barlow wants to ‘create a chance’ for West Memphis

First i would like to thank the Evening Times once again for having a platform for us to communicate with each other. West Memphis family, I know most of you are not pleased with the direction West Memphis is going. I know this because I was at every meeting concerning the re-opening of the hospital and the opening of the women's prison. I heard very passionate pleas from white people and black people asking for some help in saving our city.
Listen to me family, I am determined to make West Memphis one of the greatest cities in the whole U.S.
I tried politics and that didn't work. As a desperate measure, I wrote letters to a few celebrities and also to the owner and CEO of Warren Unilube. No one responded, but it did make me think: What if we had our own celebrity with influence and money? A celebrity whose main purpose is to concentrate on building up West Memphis, Arkansas? A celebrity who is interested in creating activities for our children and building facilities that can be used to serve the public? A celebrity who doesn't want to live like a god but to live Godly?
I decided to leave politics alone and focus on creating our own celebrities. I have very talented children and friends. All we need is a chance to 'create a chance' for West Memphis. It's way past time for us as a people, black, white, yellow, and brown to say “enough is enough” and join hands.
It's not a matter of race anymore people. it's a matter of status. The rich are getting richer and holding onto their spoils. The politicians that I will never mention and I pray no one else will ever mention again can hold on to their spoils. Stop giving Satan the praise and let's become a working villiage in order to raise a much better generation of people. America can't keep creating all this mess without eventually buckling under the pressure of the weight.
We are having an album release party Friday, Aug.
12 at the Clarion Hotel starting at 8 p.m. Ticket prices in advance and at the door are $10 (call for tickets: 901-857-2850). We will have positive messages in the songs and also some fun messages. We will start out with some culture, though. One of the artists will be performing two opera songs: Dolente Immagine Di Fille Mia and Vedrai, Carino. There will be food and drinks provided for purchase. So, I'm asking all my West Memphis family who still care about this city to come out and invest in us so we can invest in our home town. We plan to start after-school programs, look into fixing up buildings, look into using buildings such as the Armory, and eventually constructing new buildings in order to maintain programs for the community.
We would like to start social workshops for the children, to teach them to judge people by their actions and not by their color. We would like to start job programs once again for teens. We have got to realize people 'if you have it all and someone is lacking not only is it selfish, it's naïve.
Eventually, those without will attempt to take from those who do, and it really doesn't matter how far you move. All this money in America, the only homeless, poor, or starving people should be on a television show called 'homeless, poor, and starving people.' I plan on doing all I can to improve the lives of our children, whether I receive help from the rest of my West Memphis family or not.
But it sure would be a whole lot easier with everyone's help. Let’s plant seeds into good soil and let the thieves keep their spoil.
