Don’t say, “There’s nothing to do around here,” especially for the next several weeks as a full slate of fall festivities are on tap in Marion, beginning today:

Skeletour Extravaganza

The Marion Chamber of Commerce is inviting everyone to adopt a skeleton and support their businesses. Oct.

1-31, dress and display a skeleton at your business to get in on the fun. Adopt a skeleton from the Marion Chamber of Commerce for $100 and see who can scare up the most votes on Facebook. The cost includes a sign promoting your business as a participant and a spot on the Skeletour map. For more information, contact Trisha at trisha@marion archamber.org.

Pumpkin Patch on the Square

The Moms of Marion and the Marion Advertising & Promotion Commission are bringing back the Community Pumpkin Patch this fall. Community members, families and businesses are invited to decorate a pumpkin and add it to the pumpkin patch at the Courthouse Square in Marion. The pumpkins will be on display from Oct. 1 to Nov. 1.

Apple Cider & Pumpkin Painting

Fall is just around the corner, and what better way to usher in autumn than painting pumpkins and sipping cider with your friends and neighbors. Come one, come all to the Marion Courthouse Square, Thursday, Oct. 3, from 5 to 6 p.m. BYOP (that’s bring your own pumpkins), paint will be provided and there will be food trucks on site. Sponsored by Marion A& P and Moms of Marion.

Movie Night on the Square

Get into the holiday spirit with “The Grinch,” the feature presentation at Movie Night on the Square, on Saturday, Nov. 9, beginning at 6 p.m. Free admission, free popcorn, free hot cocoa and a candy station for everyone.
