The calendar will soon flip to October and everyone will be reminded to 'think pink' for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

As part of that awareness raising, the Crittenden County Boys & Girls Club will be putting on its inaugural Breast Cancer Banquet on Tuesday, Oct. 1, at the YSD Event Center, located at 500 W. Broadway Ave., in West Memphis.

The event will be held in honor and in memory of Estelle Wallace 'and others who have fought the battle of breast cancer,' with proceeds from the banquet benefitting Estella's Cafe and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

The banquet will feature food, music, a raffle, community awards, and more. Guest speakers will include Christianna Shields, RN, BSN, and Hannah Walker. Entertainment will be provided by Iyuana Childs and DJ Chill Will.

Tickets for the Breast Cancer Banquet are $50. Sponsorships are welcome. For more information, find the Boys & Girls Club of Crittenden County on Facebook.
