If you print Lynn Lampkin’s going away diatribe I will Puke! Please don’t waste valuable newspaper space. [ Editor’s Note: Harsh… while we won’t be printing Ms. Lampkin’s farewell address, she certainly worked hard to keep the public informed as to what was going on at the Marion schools, and I’m sure she will be missed… maybe just not by everyone apparently]
*** Obviously, it is beyond my comprehension, the difficulties involved to line up the Sudoku puzzles with the answers. Can you not just run into the press room and yell “Stop the presses”, check to see if it is correct, then continue printing? Only spoofing, I realize it isn’t that simple but Monday, March 4 is still incorrect. Just sayin’… [ Editor’s Note: No, I hear what you’re saying. It does seem like a simple thing, and it should be, but there are a lot of moving parts to putting the newspaper together and sometimes we’re not all on the same page — lit-erally, in fact, as the classified department lays out the classified page, which is where the puzzle solutions are printed and the production department puts together the entertainment page, where the actual puzzles are, and the editorial department does the proofing, but we don’t see those two pages on the same day ( which is maybe the biggest part of the problem), so the pages look fine separately but it’s not until the finished product comes out that it turns out that, no, they’re not fine. I don’t know if you’re aware of this but we don’t actually print on- site anymore.
With the ever rising cost of production and the unfortunate decline of print media, most newspapers have gone to contracting with these large print companies to do their printing, and that’s what we do now, and have for a few months. The paper is sent digitally to the printer ( which is a little over an hour away) in the morning and delivered to us. It’s not until then that we see the finished product, and if the puzzle and solution don’t match ( or if there’s any other error, really) it’s just not logistically feasible to correct it.
Just to let you know, though, we are going to do some tweaking to how all of that gets put together very, very soon, so hopefully we’ve seen the last of these kinds of mixups]
*** Please elect wise & healthy “Leaders”. The leaders should have healthy “Brain Systems”. This shows a starting crack in one of the supporting columns of the USA. This was portrayed in 2008. It is self-explanatory. Yet, some of our leaders still keep dancing around the “ISIS” issue, instead of properly & intelligently dealing with it. For how much longer, our present leaders will continue playing game & making fool of us? The leaders are making a huge error. They definitely have anti-human viruses like “ISIS” has. They should re-format their “Brain Systems”. Or, at least they should listen. In year of 2028 to 2032 our beautiful democracy will have an ugly face, unless our leaders observe the ongoing “Human Project” development & comply with its requirements! Those who cannot observe it now, they will when the time is ripe for them. [ Editor’s Note: This sounds like some sort of artificial intelligence bot somehow got access to my email account and is trying to get me to join a cult. I don’t know how long you’ve been living our planet, but I’m not especially eager to join your “ Human Project.” Now, I’m not exactly sure how much access you have to our leader’s “ Brain Systems,” but I hope we’re not all about to be assimilated into the Matrix…]
Here’s what everyone is talking about this week:
