Blue Devils Recieve Post-Season Honors

Several West Memphis football players recieve postseason honors for onfield perfomances this season

WM School District Ten West Memphis Blue Devil football players reaped the benefits of a 7-5 season that included a berth in the Class 6A state playoffs.

Four players were named to the all-state team, including running back Devonte Dean, receiver Steven Stone, cornerback Rayshaad Hall and offensive lineman Jason Robinson. In addition, allconference choices were quarterback Amaurius Stinnett, Kentrell Allen, lineman Hasani Adams, defensive end Verndarious Davis, dual threat Jonathan Craig and leading tackler Jerry Edwards.

Dean, a senior, was the team's leading rusher this season with 168 carries for 807 yards and a team-leading 10 touchdowns. Stone, a junior, was the team's leading receiver with 34 catches for 634 yards and 9 touchdowns. Robinson was named the No. 1ranked offensive lineman in the 6A-East Conference. Hall led the team in interceptions.

Stinnett, also a junior, completed 52 of 117 passes for 883 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Craig, a senior, was the team's second leading receiver with 16 catches for 240 yards and two touchdowns.
