The Happy Hour Club met at the Earle Baptist Church, Dec. 5.

Becky Knapp, president, presided.

The group sang “The First Noel” led by Rev. Tony Wells. Rev. Wells also gave the devotional entitled “Five Christmas Gifts From Jesus.”

Those attending held a Christmas Tree Ornament gift exchange.

Jane Speed was recognized for her Dec. 30 birthday.

Vickey and Rev. Tony Wells presented door prizes and held a drawing for gifts given to Laura Pritchard, Adria Roberts, Frank Saig, Ken Lancaster, J. W. Ellis, Alex Turner, Becky Knapp and Anga Turner.

Others present were Faye Thompson, Dean Ryan, Frankie Swindle, Doris Gately, Sue Dorman, Dot McKinney, Janis Lancaster, Rev. Stacie Grubbs, Coretta Allen, Christine Littlejohn, Allison Bird, Martha Booker and Sue Ann Elms.

*** The Children’s Ministry of the First Assembly of God Church attended “Star Trip” held at Cordova Assembly of God Dec. 11.

On the way they enjoyed having pizza at Andrey’s in Marion.

Included were Carrie Ann Parnell, David Parnell, Kaylee Hill, Cassandra Soto, Olivia Burton, Michelle Strickland, Lexi and Cooper Thompson, Symphony and Harmony Van Brussel, Thalia Garza, Presley and Gabriella Peer.

Chaperones were Nicole Peer, Erica and Lee Peer, Amanda Allison, Myra Arquitt, Tammy Soto, children’s church director and Amy Soto, children’s leader. *** Recent visitors in the home of Christine Littlejohn included Kelly Imboden and children Lucas and Lyndsey of Houston, Texas, Lisa and Mike Carter and children Josh and Abby Carter of Fayetteville, Mary Grace West of Hughes and Bernice Brown of Crawfordsville.

Frankie Swindle, Mary Jo and Tommy Staggs, Jessica and Jerry Wayne White and daughters Allison and Ashley were at Bellevue Baptist Church last Friday in Cordova, Tennessee where they attended the presentation of “The Singing Christmas Tree.”

Janis Lancaster, Frankie Swindle and Ken Lancaster were in Wynne last Saturday at the Women’s Progressive Club where they attended the program presented by the Wynne Music Club.

*** Doris Garrett was in Little Rock four days recently where she attended the Arkansas Grand Chapter of the Eastern Star.

She traveled with Billie Green and Nina Mack of West Memphis.

They were guests at the Double Tree Hotel.
