MHS seniors receive ASU scholarship offers
Marion School District Officials from Arkansas State University’s Prize Patrol paid a visit to Marion High School last week and awarded scholarships worth more than $848,000 to 35 seniors. All scholarships are renewable for four years.
Winning the Arkansas Promise Scholarship valued at $2,000 a year were Allen Michael, Justin Gist, Brittine Woods, Talyn Pirani, Richard Ford, Kyler Hybeck, Gavis Estes and Bo Triplett.
Six senior were awarded the Spirit Scholarship worth $3,000 per year. The winners were Christen Dykes, Gary Austin, Chase Henley, Lauren Adams, Matthew Collins and Rachel Benson.
Pride One scholarships, worth $6,970 per year, were awarded to Chessly Cox, Amara Kokroko and Alden Chapple.
Winners of the Pride Two scholarship worth $7,220 per year were Barrett Brothers, Alexandria Sides and Maggie Aureli.
Carley Stevenson, Chloe Morgan and Thomas Stotts were awarded Pride Three scholarship valued at $7,220 each year.
Six seniors were awarded the Leadership One scholarship, valued at $8,220 each year. Those students were Sara Bett, Jacob Bell, Olivia Stottlemire, Daniel Webster, Trexler Proffitt and Caroline Hood.
Excellence Scholarships were awarded to Alexandria Bramucci, Emily Griffith, Emily Hendrix and Katlin Jacobs. The awards valued at $9,220 per year.
Sarah Burford and Morgan Massengale won Scholar awards valued at $15,000 per year.
To be awarded one of the ASU scholarships, students must maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 or better.
