Bulldogs set to battle Thunderbirds

Earle looks to continue strong start to their conference schedule tonight in

The Earle Bulldogs (6-3 overall, 2-0 conference) take the hardwood tonight against the Cross County Thunderbirds (1-2, 1-0) tonight in Cherry Valley.

The Bulldogs are fresh back from the Rumble on the Ridge Classic in Pea Ridge. The Earle team finished 2-1 in that tournament, good for third place.

The game against Cross County represents the third conference matchup for the Bulldogs. Earle has already defeated two conference foes this year in the form of Armorel and McCrory. The Bulldogs had no problem with either conference foe this year, winning each game by an average of 40.5 points.

The Thunderbirds also faced Armorel earlier this season but only escaped from Armorel with a two point victory, as opposed to the Bulldogs 46-point win margin.

The two teams faced another common opponent this season in the Marked Tree Indians. The Bulldogs defeated Marked Tree in overtime by nine points whereas the Thunderbirds lost to the Indians by 30 points in Cherry Valley.

The Bulldogs look for their third consecutive conference win tonight at Cross County High School in Cherry Valley at 4 p.m. before returning home for their second matchup against Armorel on December 16th.
