Alicia Martinez Lenox, recent bride of Brian Lenox, was honored with a wedding shower held at the First Assembly of God Church Fellowship Hall Nov. 1. The Women’s Ministry were Co-Hosts.
The group enjoyed a potluck dinner including a three tiered cake decorated in fall colors.
Among the family members present was Lisa Martinez, Jimmie Winders, Sherry Lenox, Samantha Lenox, Maria Cariker, Olivia Burton, Tammy Soto, Cassie Soto, Amy Soto and Cassandra Soto.
Tabitha Newingham directed a game. Others present were Anna Adams Armendariz, Carolyn Clouse, Debbie Love, Michelle McCormick, Delores Smith, Linda Jo Branch and Laurie Adams.
*** The Canasta Club met at the house of Rona Mc-Cutchen in Marion recently. Kaye Lehman was hostess.
Debbie Franks won high score, Bobbie Estes won second, Mary Jane Edwards won low and Judy Sharp won bingo.
Others present were Terre Rodgers, Helen McNair, Kim Fraley and Lou Burns.
*** The annual Thanksgiving service for the community will be held at Lighted Pathways Church in Earle Nov. 20 at 5 p.m.
Rev. Tony Wells will bring the message.
A reception will follow. Everyone is invited to attend.

*** Christine Littlejohn was in Little Rock Nov. 12 at the home of Justin Lowery when she joined family members to celebrate his birthday.
They enjoyed dinner prepared by Becky Miller of West Memphis and Shari Gross of Memphis.
*** Janice Lancaster, Frankie Swindle and Ken Lancaster were at the Women’s Progressive Club in Wynne last Saturday where they attended a program presented by the Wynne Music Club.
*** Jimmie Beauchamp of Fayetteville spent last weekend in the home of Jimmie Barham.
*** Mary Jo and Tommy Staggs returned home last Saturday after enjoying a vacation spent in Panama City, Florida.
Traveling with them was Sue and Billy Bigham, Lynn and Billy Staggs of Collierville, Tennessee and Joann Brightwell of Opelika, Alabama. *** Ellen and Sam Holloway, William and Elleene Holloway were in Tuckerman recently where they attended a birthday party for Annie Dawson who celebrated her 100th birthday.
*** Jean Burns, Elleene Holloway, Dot McKinney, Christine Littlejohn, Ellen Holloway, Sue Ann Elms and Mary Frances Davis had lunch at Veanos in Marion last Tuesday.
