Here’s what everyone is talking about this week:

I live on willow in the trailer park in Marion. Just want to thank those park guys for their hard work at K& R park. It looks so much better. [ Editor’s Note: K& R Park will always hold a dear place in my heart.

It was the first “ real” ball park I played on, and all three of my kids played at least one year out there, so I’m glad to see it’s being maintained… now if only there were somewhere to park]

*** Why on earth did you publish the picture of Carl Cortez Baker in the Bookings at CCDC in Monday Oct. 31st with that obscene word on the front of his hoodie???? REALLY??? Does your proofreaders need to borrow my glasses? Very concerned about this so bad to text for an answer.

[ Editor’s Note: Well, that is unfortunate. In all honesty, those pictures are so small, it never even occurred to me to “ proofread” anyone’s shirt in the mugshots, so I guess that’s on us. However, your text will probably be read by more people than actually noticed Mr.

Baker’s shirt, so I’m not sure this really helps] *** Hello, west memphis is rocking positivities…trunk treating. With spider man… batgirls, superwomen! Lil red riding hood was giving her granny smiles for walking! The cheerleaders was loud with joy-thanks, lauren hale, Madison hale gave points for golden state…curry! Goddesses appeared. The grinch came early after 40 yrs. Wmhigh-greatest english teachers diane bersy and brenda tackett came. Thanks you…trinity and united methodist churches for always opening your hearts to a multitude of god’s people. There was all races! 2 days a rainbow of glorious joy! Adults and children. There no clowning around. Our littliest police was on duty with the mic. My maleigh roberts was there. God is good. [ Editor’s Note: It’s great to see kids of all ages enjoying Halloween ( and all of the “ not- exactly- Halloween”) festivities. With Halloween being on a Monday this year, the weekend leading up to it created a sort- of Halloween Weekend, with all sorts of trunk- or- treats and fall festivals… and no creepy clown attacks!]

*** The Marion water/sewer/sanitation/ whatever project the city can fit in bills are ridiculous. The last three months for a residence have been 80 to 90 dollars. I hope the people responsible for this are voted out of office. I know I voted against them. [ Editor’s Note: When all of this “ water bills are going up” business started, I was expecting a massive hike in my monthly bill. I think it went up about $ 8 on average. For a family of five, it wasn’t too big a hit. Then, when they put in the new water meters, I thought it might go up again, but I haven’t noticed any significant increase. While I certainly don’t like paying more for the same thing I’ve always gotten for less, I think it beats the alternative of having the waterworks collapse and leaving us without a reliable water and sewer system]
