Surely the Evening Times could find a more current picture of Hillary. She certainly is not this young, nor anywhere near the weight she is in the picture on the front page today!
It is so obvious that y’all, like some others, like the shape our country is in and want another 8 years of the same. The biggest debt ever. I frankly, am getting tired of skimping on a fixed income while others do nothing and our government takes care of them, even if they are illegal. I wish our politicians had to have Medicare and be refused some routine care at the age of 70 and above. I know because it happened to me this year. I would like them to have to live off the salary they made before they held an office, instead of continuing to draw their large salaries for the rest of their lives. They could not live on Social Security like those of us who have to. Are they really interested in those of us who struggle? The government calls it a benefit? Its my money they have taken and used for years that they took from me during the years I worked and now give back to me a smidgen at a time. It’s a crying shame. [ Editor’s Note: You got us. I have to admit it. I thought we’d get away with it. I was certain that running an older picture of Hillary Clinton that we’d convince folks to vote for her. Man, I knew the election was rigged. Trump tried to warn us all, but I didn’t know the Evening Times was in on it. It didn’t even occur to me when I asked the production folks to get me a picture of Clinton and Trump that they would sabotage the whole election this way. Dang liberal media conspiracy!]
*** It was a wonderful day for Hometown Crawfordsville this year. I really enjoyed seeing many old friends & was special to be shuttled in by the High Sheriff Mike Allen. [ Editor’s Note: I was at this year’s Hometown Crawfordsville, and I concur that the weather and the festivities were both very nice. For a small community, the folks that organize the festi-val every year do a great job and I’ve never heard one bad thing about it, so here’s to hoping for many continued years of success]
*** Earle had a wonderful homecoming a couple of weeks ago. I wish there had been pictures of their homecoming court in the paper. That evening showed that Earle is indeed a place to live! [ Editor’s Note: I, too, wish that there had been pictures in the paper. Every school in the county sent me their Homecoming pictures, with the exception of Earle. I always have trouble getting pictures from them, as evidenced by their lack of Graduation photos at the end of the school year. In the age of cell phones that take pictures as well as most cameras, I wish someone there would take the initiative to be the “ designated photographer” for the school. I’m sure there are a lot of cool things going on at the Earle schools, but we never hear about it]
*** Don’t start any tricks Why couldn’t voting change wait until next year? [ Editor’s Note: What tricks? What voting change? What election is next year? This text raises more questions than it answers]
*** It’s amazing to me how Carolyn Jones has promoted a full time Office in December playing Police Chief again. Now since then that Officers is off the job and never went to the academy. Being as foolish as she is in believe Earle is in for another lawsuit for her negligence. Now she still promoting Police officers to full time positions with no intention of sending them to the academy and destroying their lives and careers. This woman is nothing but a many lawsuits waiting to happen. She has tarnished the Police Department and this City since she has been in office. A childish former school teacher should not be in politics. So I’m telling it like it is I’m FOR THE REMOVAL OF CAROLYN. Hopefully all of Earle is too. [ Editor’s Note: I guess we’ll see in less than two weeks. Oc course, it will not only depend on how many people support her and how many don’t but also on how many on each side actually get out and vote]
ºHow about something positive for a change? ASU Mid-South is a great place. They have friendly faculty and staff who go out of their way to help you. And the chancellor is awesome!
[ Editor’s Note: I have nothing but good things to say about ASU Mid- South. My middle child goes there, and every time we have some kind of dealings with them, the staff is very helpful. There are just so many different programs there for any level of student, so I’m with you. Go Greyhounds!]
*** You better go vote early! Better to wait in line for an hour now than wait in line for two hours on election day! [ Editor’s Note: I went up to the courthouse Tuesday morning to take some pictures of the early voting and while there was indeed a line, it was flowing pretty smoothly. But yes, I’d echo your idea, because there’s always a bigger crowd on Election Day. Two hours seems like a stretch, but there could always be unforeseen problems. I will say, though, that the election workers seemed to have everything running like clockwork while I was there]
