Joann (Drew-Feathers) Cupples

After a short battle with lung cancer, Joann (DrewFeathers) Cupples died on Sunday, Aug. 7, 2016 in Biloxi, Miss., at the age of 73.

She leaves behind her husband, Thomas Cupples and her son, Dale Feathers.

Joann was born on July 24, 1943, in Grand Junction, Tenn., to her father J.C. Drew and mother Dixie Drew, who predeceased her. She grew up in a large, loving family with four sisters and two brothers.

Joann married Thomas Cupples on Oct. 6, 1979.

When diagnosed with lung cancer in 2016, she remained a brave, iron-willed woman, even throughout her final months.

Joann is also survived by her husband and son, as well as her sisters, Billie Jean Sheally, Roberta Smith, Betty Callahan, and Barbara Gray; her brothers, James and Charlie Drew; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Joann requested to be buried in Crittenden Memorial Cemetery. The viewing and services will take place at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home, 201 Pine St., West Memphis, Arkansas. The viewing will be from 10 a.m.

to 12 noon, and services will proceed shortly afterwards. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to St. Jude Childern Research Hospital in her memory.
